Tallwood House at Brock Commons
The University of British Columbia’s new student residence has a concrete podium and
two concrete cores, with 17 stories of cross-laminated timber (CLT) floors supported by glulam columns. With amazing speed and efficiency, the structure and façade of the building were completed less than 70 days after the prefabricated components were first delivered to the site
– four months ahead of schedule.
